I don't know how sharp they should be. I found the same thing on a new John Deere tractor. I assumed it was product liability they were trying to avoid. I sharpen mine on a grinder wheel and balance

I use an attachment for a Dremel tool for touch-up sharpening. Your description sounds like it needs more than a bit of touch up. Remove the blade and use a bench grinder. Or bring it back to Home De
