1600 or 2000? The 1600 had some 70 only smog stuff. One of the things they did was to hold the throttle open a bit under high manifold vacuum conditions. This was to prevent back firing. The small va

see if one of your throttle shaft return springs has broken and replace as necessary. if it was a symptom that came on suddenly. let's see, that would be the yellow 41k mile 1600 from over near me. h

Hi Keith, his car is a '70 1600, he bought it from someone local to me. I have photos of it in my computer. 41k original miles, not driven much the past 11 years. they used to run it in the local App
