- I just could not believe that anyone would ride a glider into an invasion with a Jeep and artillery aboard into combat.. unreal. During the war, paratroops got jump pay, the glider troops got nothing

- There were two main types of gliders, the WACO and the Horsa. If I remember right the smaller WACO only carried troops. In the age before helicopters there wasn't much of a choice as to how men & eq
