I just could not believe that anyone would ride a glider into an invasion with a Jeep and artillery aboard into combat.. unreal. During the war, paratroops got jump pay, the glider troops got nothing

There were two main types of gliders, the WACO and the Horsa. If I remember right the smaller WACO only carried troops. In the age before helicopters there wasn't much of a choice as to how men & eq
