So how would that work? Isn't the water direct injected into the combustion chamber? So wouldn't you have to somehow sort all the combustion junk out of the water to keep from fouling the injectors?

I think that the reason for this was likely that that water was running too fast for the radiator to properly cool it before it got back to the motor, and it wasn't able to remove as much heat. With
