- If this is on your 74.5 and has not been messed with it is almost certainly a J type. External differences include the solenoid mounted horizontally on the J type but vertically on the A type. J type

- 'A' overdrives have a large flat drain plug on the very bottom of the unit that you should be able to see from under the car. If you a referring to your 74 TR6 it would be a 'J' overdrive. Go on www
