You might want to find a good used original seat belt. I have the aftermarket type Moss sells and they are a challenge at best (BTW they are cheeper at Victoria British). The inertia system on the af

John I had the same problem on my 77. I found a static belt in J.C. Whitney for about half the cost of the one Moss offers. They seem very high quality, and quite possibly to be the same as the one M

I have installed the belts from Vic Brit on a couple of cars, and found that the adjustment of the inertial mechanism is critical. If it is not adjusted correctly it will indeed lock up at the drop

Is this true for stock seat-belts? I have a '72 with stock (I think) inertia reel belts that are almost imposible to even put on because they're so sensitive. How does one make this adjustment? Regar
