I have a '64 Sprite Mk II with an 1098 engine and a *mechanical* fuel pump. The books say I don't; I can either have a 948 with a mechanical, or a 1098 with an SU electric one. The block # is 10CG-D

The 1098cc engines did have the hole, I believe, but it had a cover plate over it (the 1275's didn't have the hole, though you could see where it was). I know the Mk III's (engines 10cc-xxxxxx) had e
