If you replace one tire with a different brand tire, you should, at the very least, replace the matching tire on the other side of the car... so replace either both rear tires or both front tires...

All that means is you probably have 3,500 miles left until you have to re-build the booster again! I rebuilt my old BJ8 brake booster two times... each time it worked great, but only lasted about 10

That's an easy and cheap repair. Your gearbox is likely missing the detent balls & springs located right underneath the edge of the gearbox access panel. These springs and balls are items #69 and #7
