I had the same problem until I replaced the right side engine mount. The heat from the catalytic converter kills the rubber on that pretty quickly, and it collapses, which lets the engine drop a bit

On my VW Bug, I once had to do the same thing, except I ended up tying the pipe onto the breaker bar, and rolling the car down a hill. End of the pipe swings around until it hits the pavement WHAM!.

I think that depends on the tach. As I recall, some of them have the pickup internally, you have to open things up and do minor surgery. Others have the external loop that can just be turned around.

I'd think that your engine mounts would have to be in pretty bad shape for the header to swing 1/2" just from vibration. If you didn't replace the mounts when you had the engine out, you should take
