A new Armstrong shock for my Tr6 has only 1.5 inches of travel. So I guess 3 inches would probably be more than enough? Aivars PS By the way that same Mustang II shock will also fit a Ford Pinto.....

The same company has a new POR-15 product that is meant for chassis & frame use called Chassis Blackcoat - they claim it is a bit more resistant to UV. http://www.por15.com/primer_topcoat_clearcoat.h
