I believe the fuzzy seals appeared through 1972 on the 6's. I remember my 250 had one side fuzzy, one side just rubber/vinyl. Even as old and worn as the fuzzy one was, it just seemed better. Maybe

While I am a fan of POR 15 I must think this type of patch still must be considered temporary as opposed to welding in new floors. After all, it is just paint and a fabric(?)mesh with a type of epox

As a matter of fact MOSS has them listed (stainless) for $24.95 apiece. Impossible to find the original burnished aluminum (or is that aluminium?) ones except as used) ones.
