Out of curiosity, what do each of the groups define as period correct? Is it correct for the year of the car, correct for the year it was raced (within the range permitted), or correct to the GCR/PCS

At CVAR we allow the car to be built to any SCCA rule book up to 1972. If you want to build a TR-3 to 1972 regs that's fine. However, we also have a pre-1961 group that is not so liberal. Harold Pace
