Does anyone have experience painting aluminum wheels? I'm now stripping off a finish that someone did, but didn't stick (chipped off in chunks, and where it didn't flake off, it wrinkled badly). Sho

Mag wheels should NEVER be powder coated. The coating is so thick and flexible that it will conceal cracks until they become disasters! There have been recent articles in Victory Lane Mag about this

Regarding powder coating mag wheels As a magnesium foundry we have some experience of this and Greg Solow is right they should not be powder coated. I am not sure of the exact technical explanation b
