Kim, I think so, but I can't be sure as I don't have any good references in front of me. Is it four or six cylinders? BTW, the John Kipping Triumph Spares catalogue is one good source for prefix code

WB is the prefix used for 1500 fwd engines. There are number of differences between these and rear wheel drive engines, notably the flywheel is at the other end, and there's a different oil pump to a

You are right about it being a 1500 engine, but it just occured to me that it has been in a Bond, which is not a fwd, is it?

Thanks again for the info Keith. The engine is not a fwd, however, it is definitely a normal rwd. First of all the starter was shere it should be, secondly the gearbox is a rwd gearbox, thirdly the o
