- You can't actually catch a virus from the list, because the list does not allow for attachments, and without them there's no where for the virus to live. You CAN have a virus forwarded to you because

- What really happens is that someone ON the list gets a virus, and it grabs the headers from another email (i.e. one from the list) and sends itself to someone in the infected person address book, so
