My '4A used stainless sheetmetal screws. Most marine stores sell them. Your body guy must of bondo'd over the holes. You might be able to find the original holes from the inside. John Fellow enthusia

I've owned my 1966 4A since 1969 and they have always been attached with rivets. I believe that's the way they all came from England. Any repaint done to the car was done by me and I reattached them

My (late) 1964 TR4 is original paint and pretty much unmolested and they are attached with screws. I begin to suspect that they may have changed from screws to rivets somewhere along the way. Geo Hah
