How do you get the hard When replacing mine, I tried the hot water trick to no avail. Being a man of little patience and a boiling pot far removed from the car, I ended up cutting them at an angle. M

I never tried this but it is worth a shot. This is what you will need. 1 long screw 2 big washers(little bigger than the bushing) 1 large size socket (20mm or enought that the bushing falls into it.

What a miserable job, and frankly I gave up. Here is what I did. I went to Home Depot and bought two nylon bushings. I don't remember the measurements, but the "gas pedal rod" fit into the bushing a

I also did that on the trailing arm bushings and it worked great. However, on the accelerator bushings, the nylon lip is so thin that it just deforms and won't pop through. Ask me how I know. <G> I
