I'm sorry if this is a repeat, but I saw the posts on some server and I never saw my post or got any responses. The bulge in the lower radiator hose finally got me worried enough that I thought I'd r

Brian, When I replaced my hoses (obtained from Moss), the hose you mentioned DID contact the motor mount. No amount of finagling or repositioning could eliminate that contact. I installed a large cab

I waited out of curiosity before throwing my 2 cents into this issue. Mainly because my 63 Spit sports a 1500 engine but retains the original radiator. I figured that was the reason my own lower hose

Here's some more insight: the hose contacts the engine's motor mount bracket. No way could a sagging motor mount cause this interference. The aftermarket hoses must not be exactly right. (The origina

When I blew a rad hose on the Chevette, I fixed it with a flexy-hose-- worked fine. It did take a lot of fiddling and twisting to get it to stand free of anything that might pop it (was too long...)

I'm new to Spitfires, but it appears that there is some difference between the 1500 motor/motormounts and the earlier motor or motormounts, and the 1500 version rubs or almost rubs the hose. Because
