I rebuilt my SU HS4's on my car, and had no major problems, one thing someone once told me is don't clean the carbon from your butterflys (he owned a 2.5PI with 6 of them). Apperntly he did this and

By all means, rebuild the SU's and re-fit them. You will be amazed by the difference in performance. Also, you might think that tuning dual SU's will be more difficult than a single Stromberg, but m

Mark, put the su's on!! What a difference 1 1/4 su's were on my Spit 1500! I had a single stromberg on it and when I changed over to the su's I couldn't believe how much better the engine breathed-in

I have SU's on my 1969 Spit, and I would not have anything else. They are very easy to work on, and rebuild. Once properly set up, the car will run much better, too. Of course, this is my own opinion
