Depends on which "Tripod" lamp you have. Is it P700 (round emblem with LUCAS in the middle -- bulb is ???) or PL700 (with the "shield" in the center -- "Type A" or Lucas #417 bulb with three prongs o

Someone else was just asking for this. Check out for detailed answers to your questions, but the short reply is Yes, all you need are the proper P45 bulbs in halogen to convert your Tripods. Randall
