Bob , I'm all for fiberglass panels if the quality is right , but quality and fit can vary enormously . The obvious advantage is that they don't rust , but a small ding on a steel panel equals a pile

I once bought a FG RR fender for the 4A. Never did use it as it required some reinforcing and filing to fit properly. (Too thick at the taillight junction, too weak at the door post mount. ) Sold it

What's the collective opinion of the list on the use and quality of fiberglass replacement panels? I'm more interested in fit, finish, durability and appearance then about maintaining originality....

I would buy a car with fiberglass bolt-on panels; I would be very suspicious of panels that were bonded onto the body particularly if they had a structural function. That may be more prejudice than
