- Yeah, I've been scratching my head over a similar problem with '74 TR 6. One brake light works most of the time, the other doesn't when headlights are on only. I figured it was a ground break (brake)

- This make a lot of sence. The Brake light filement is much bigger for the brighter light. If the current were running through both filements in series only the small tail light filement would glow be

- On my 59 TR3, my brake lights do not work. Bulbs and fuses are good. I changed my switch at the brake jucture (pressure switch?). Connections seem to be good. Any ideas as to where to look? thanks, J

- Always a good thing to check the ground path for the brake lights. Also, check for continuity in the circuit when the brake pedal is pushed, i.e., does the switch actually close? Cheers. -- Michael D
