I don't believe there is such a thing as "heat proof" tape, Sujit; although there are some tapes that are more heat resistant than others. The best I know of is Scotch 70 Silicone Rubber self-fusing

I would recommend shrink wrap tubing. You can buy four foot sections of it, in various colors, at any good electronics store (Not Radio Shack). You will need a heat gun to shrink it properly. In tigh
