I just did this with my TR6. Can't imagine its too much different with the TR3. I was successful doing it alone after a couple of tries. I tried soaping up the gasket as recommended but it just seem

I probably used dish soap as a lubricant, as I recall sliding it in wasn't to difficult. It helps to stretch the seal quite a bit as you pull it thru -- this make it skinnier. Once it pulled thru it
