The 74 TR6 was fitted with the J-type but the A-type sill fit just fine with the adapter used on the early TR6's. One can tell easily with just a test drive. The A-type has an accumulator and will sh

Be warned, however, that some A-types (like for early Stag) have a horizontal solenoid too. Another point of identification is the drain plug on the bottom. The A-type has a single great big plug so
