You are right about the turning orientation. I just think of this as a nut which raises or lowers the jet. Move the nut upward and it leans out. Move the nut down and it gets richer. Very intuitive.

Thanks the the info. This will help me make some decisions about the ignition I am glad you clarified the crank vs dizzy RPM. I had initially thought it was showing crank RPM, which seemed low to me.
