- ISTR having the same problem when I had the calipers off. Did you leave the brake hoses connected? When there is no disc between the brake pads, the brake fluid will slowly drain down to the caliper

- With 10:1 compression, 87mm kit, a street cam and overdrive, my TR4 gets about 26 mpg on the highway. It did 22-24 without the O/D. This is on whatever passes for hi test gas these days. Pete Fullam

- I have the space age plastic tunnel in my TR4. When I put in the OD gearbox a couple of years ago, I cut the tunnel right behind the cowl brace, for precisely the reasons John mentioned in his post.
