How were factory installed radios situated in a TR 3? Was the speaker built into the radio? Do you recommend reversing the car's polarity in order to install a new radio? Or, should I keep listening

1968 BSA 600cc Goldstar (it is a 500 with the factory 600 kit) This bike has 1500 miles on her and still has the original tires!!!!!! I know this is a TR group...but don't trust old tires on a bike..
