I don't know exactly how this works, but can you put the screw through the metal dash backwards so it pokes out just a little, then align the wood dash and press it down? That should make some dimple

I'd have to agree with You they had some diversity in the Product line. I grew up with more than a few Magnette's and 1100's that did make it to our Shores. Still less than the Herald and 2000 Lines
