I have one of those - it's great. While you're picking that up at Harbor Freight, you can pick up a boxed assortment of O-rings that will probably have just what you need to fix the old one. Cheers,

Without knowing what contact cement he used it's tough to say why it isn't holding up but two things come to mind: 1. you have to cover both pieces with cement AND let both sides dry to a tacky feel
