Same here and it worked well on the bench but when I installed in in the car it wouldn't read right. The author of the website said MGAs used a different system then TR3 fuel gauges _________________

Not sure he is wrong, mines a post 64000 and had a TR4 (I think) gauge in it that works fine, I just picked up a couple over the years that look more correct (but don't work nearly as well). _______

Will try to blag a compression tester, but plugs seem a uniform colour so I'm guessing compression is similar across all 4. Rocker area is uniformly wet with oil, over all pressure is good. 25FTlb N

Impact wrench and 120psi compressor wouldn't cut it but a pipe wrench on the extension and jambed against the frame and a 3' length of steel pipe on the socket gave me enough leverage. Thanks folks..

This has worked for me freeze the bushing over night then dust them with corn starch before pressing them in. Corn starch is the white powdery stuff you find inside a lot of rubber electrical cables

Brought the TR3 body home from the paint shop Monday. The plan is to drop in engine/tranny/drive train by Feb 1; exhaust, brake & fuel lines, etc by mid-to-late Feb; body on frame shortly after that.
