Yep, the switch has three positions: on, off, and auto. However, right now it has converted to: on, off, and on. Any ideas what would cause that? It did work properly for a brief period of time. Also

The wiring is a "Painless" kit and the relay came with it - it's a five wire setup if I recall correctly. The fan temp sensor is located on the driver's side top of the radiator adjacent to the water
