I've had this with my 4A a couple of times over the years. Rear shock absorber bolts can do this as can a brake shoe not being quite tucked up properly inside the drums. FWIW I'd take the rear wheels

I too just rest against the dipper switch, but should add 'pedal' over it like on Jensen interceptor (no floor dipswitch); yup-we are all spoiled by the modern cars! But there is no substitute for TR

My suggestion: Splice in some more wire, so there are several inches of slack between the coil & the harness on the inner fender. I'm guessing that yours was pulled kind of tight, so it gets stresse

I have a friend that put in the glued in interior parts (dash cover and cappings) of his TR3 using Gorilla Glue. Previously, he had used contact cement and it was all coming apart a few years later.
