Frank, I wouldn't think a small metal tab would be a problem with wire welding, but a welder should be consulted - looking at the job. As an quick fix, you might consider an "L" shaped bracket and a

Alternatively, you could slit a piece of fuel line or vacuum hose, put that over the brake line to protect it, then hose clamp it in place against the rear axle. Best regards, Theo

That was my initial gut reaction/idea. I'll do that if I can't come up with a more asthetically pleasing solution. I'm going to go ahead and take my MIG to it and see how it goes. Frank B9471116 --
