- LAT 9 Listeners, My set of newly refurbished LAT 9's are ready for tires. (no not another tire question!) My tire guy says he must install tubes because the stem hole is not flat and he can't install

- There are all rubber valve stems that fit most anything. The metal ones that have sealing washers are also not known to be very reliable in the seal area, even if prettier. Sealing surface condition

- I've had standard valve stems on my LAT-9's for 16 years with any leaks. If you are worried put a bit of sealer around the hole before installing the stem. Like Brylcream, a little dab will do ya. Da
