I'm replacing the instruments in my "apart" Mk1A. Is there a loop that runs from gauge to gauge necessary for grounding. Also, I'm using an engine-turned aluminum dash instead of wood. Should this be

Tym, Last I checked, Aluminum is conductive, and some of the original dash brackets fasten directly to the dash face, automaticallly grounding it. A quick check with an ohmeter between the instrument

I have a 66 Nova Drag car (I've already asked for forgiveness) that has a brushed aluminum dash. My gauges grounded through the aluminum to the steel dash with no problems. Also, before installing,

Tym, There should be no need for your aluminum dash to be grounded, except for radio interference concerns. The wood dash in my car isn't grounded, and yes, there is a ground wire that grounds each g
