- Surprisingly the gas tanks and fuel pipes don't seem to be prone to fires. Even Uncle Wally's rear ender (where the hit was so hard that the motor mounts broke) didn't leak. The tanks aren't exposed

- I put an Alpine boittle with basket under the header tank. Ran a hose to the header tank overflow tube and simply repalced the cap with a coolant recovery cap. Worked great. You could watch hot water

- There was a question if the Rootes bottle could stand the heat. Who wants a melted tank and possibly plastic in the radiator. I've not had a problem One fellow owner made a new stainless washer tank.

- That's correct. It keeps the adjustable shaft from slipping into the column when you have removed the steering wheel. Otherwise its a pain to get the shaft back out of the column. Its a tight frictio
