- I would also guess if the gauge is correct that the allen plugs were left out of the oil passage under the timing cover. I have also seen the plug blow out of the oil pump. Doug

- Mineral Spirits will soften the coating but not wash it off. Check out Miracle Paint in the Hemmings. It is great just don't get it on your hands. Is there a reason your are removing the undercoating
