HVLP is the way to go! Having just painted a 67 Sprite using a conventional spray gun last weekend, I can tell you the over spray is everywhere. Blue dust or a blue tint on everything in the garage.

High Volume Low Pressure. It greatly reduces the paint bouncing off the surface. A good HVLP spray gun and operator can cut paint useage solidly in half over an older high pressure gun.

I'm a great fan of my HVLP unit. Less overspray for sure. Also as an inexperienced painter, I found it more forgiving than a conventional unit. Mike
