- Jeff The tar covered fiberglass patches work. Those dip in the goo and wrap around the pipe tend to fall of the next day. I prefer Tiger (brand) patches but any self stick fiberglass wrap will do muc

- I use a piece of sheetmetal and a couple of hose clamps. Cut the metal to fit over the hole with some overlap and then clamp it on. I used to do this on my rotary engined Mazda (exhaust was very hot)
