I was taught that, when filling the dampers, you need to bounce that corner of the car a few times to distribute the oil (careful - it can slosh out), then top it off again. BTW, I used to used 20W o

I once knew a old racing guy who said that he and his buddies used to put STP in their lever shocks in varying proportions to stiffen the dampening effect. I'm not kidding...he was sort of a crazy 'S

I run almost straight stp in my front shocks, 50/50 gear oil and STp in the rears. 1961 MG Midget vintage racer. You have to heat the STP to get it in. Brian

Yes, I did that on my first (74) Midget when I was young and foolish. All shocks were leaking, so I thought "what the heck" and filled all 4 with straight STP. It was stiff and understeered, but when
