- The first 1/8 inch of threads on the steering column of my sprite are damaged and I can't get the nut on to hold the steering wheel on. It's not a major thing but it would be nice to have a nut there

- Thread file, its a small square file with different threads on each side, match it up and file the threads back into shape.

- If the problem is that the first few threads are mangled, you can always carefully file the offending threads flat and cut a proper "ramp" into the good threads.
