He got "1 Offer", not one bid. Still, if anyone is paying that kind of money for con rods I know some people who will be happy to flood the market, myself included.

Actually I may have to eat some crow here. It was pointed out to me that the 67 Sprite did have special rods to go with the EN40B crank in those thin flange blocks. I will want to look it up this eve

Yep, that's about what I paid for the sets I purchased. They are AEG625, and I don't think I have that many "Special" rods, no crow for me today. BTW, the seller ended that auction early and relisted
