- If you can drag yourself from the Kleenex box, have a look under the valve cover. I suspect you've either ground down a cam lobe or two, or are machining away a lifter (tappet, follower). A crude ch

- Are you sure the rocker shaft was installed correctly? If the oil hole doesn't line up (rocker shaft and pedestal holes), then the rockers run hot/dry and they tend to chew up the tip of the rocker,
