- whats the difference between a rev counter for a car fitted with a dynamo and one designed for a car fitted with an alternator,? Assuming car is negative earth. (grounded) In other words, can I fit a

- The issue is when you make changes to the car, and expect the tach to work. But, to put a working neg earth tach into a neg earth car will have no problems. Except from the "Originality Police" ;-)
