- At 10psi, the engine should be rebuilt or checked by another oil pressure gauge. Look at a Bently manual. Oil pressure should be very much above 10!

- I have owned at least 10 Spridgets and I have never had an engine or gauge in that poor of condition and still driving it ;^). It is possible that every Spridget that you have owned did need rebuilt.
