No, it's not junk. The Loctite thread restorer won't stand heat (as in direct flame). Give it a couple of minutes of gentle application of the blue wrench and it'll let go. Been there. Chris Kotting

You can put about a tablespoon of oil in #3 and see if the compression goes up. If so, it's probably a burnt valve (the oil helps the rings seal). The leakdown test is conclusive though. Chris Kottin
