- Kris, two possibilities. The first possibility is a vacuum leak. Has a vacuum hose broken, cracked or fallen off (check the line going to the distributor). This condition will cause the engine to run

- You forgot to mention if you are running the original Zenith-Stromberg carb. If so maybe we can help. First look over the engine compartment and make sure all your vacuum lines are snug and secure.
