although my tires are 175R70-13's, I have to figure that you should be ok with that size. I don't have any clearance problems and while the 185 is a bit wider, it's profile is smaller (60 series) so

I am using 185/60-13 Yokohama a-509's on my '76 Spit. At first I used TR-7 rims but this year I got 13X6 Panasports No clearance problems at all and it looks great.It also helps while autocrossing.
