- I got some good pics of the two laygears I bought on Ebay. The new camera helps. I think the new laygear may be a reject or just unfinished. Matthews Parts has offered a new laygear lately, on Ebay.

- About the one with the blunt reverse teeth: Try taking the reverse idler gear seeing if its teeth mesh with the blunt teeth. I suspect they might not mesh well, and would chew each other up. Doug Bra

- Is this possibly the difference for using a 21 vs the later 17 tooth reverse idler gear? ....or is that only the GT6 laygear? Supposedly Triumph went to a 17 tooth gear on later models for reasons of
